Simon: I'm trying to put this as delicately as I can... How do I know you won't kill me in my sleep? Mal: You don't know me, son. So let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So I was wondering when Daniel made the shift from floppyhair to I'm-a-grownup hair, and it's amusing to see this series of episodes where his hair just gets gradually shorter and shorter, like they hoped people wouldn't notice.

Ack, there wasn't a new OC last night, was there?

Is the next new one next week, or the week after???

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Next week.

Phew. OK. I was afraid I'd missed it!

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Hmm. Between S2 and 3? S3 and 4?

RivkaT had a great essay months ago on her LJ about fandom's "floppy haired boys". I can't remember the details about the essay, but I bet Daniel is a pretty good fit to the archetype.

I kind of lost The O.C. love during the Oliver arc. Everybody's become so freakin' tiresome--the only persons about whom I give a shit now are Summer and Sandy. If it doesn't improve soon, I may drop it all together, since it's a bother to remember to tape it while Angel being TiVo'd anyway. Bah.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Hmm. Between S2 and 3? S3 and 4?

Between the second-to-last and last episode of S2 - the short hair shows up for the first time in the they're-all-frozen clip show and oh my God I really know too much about this show.

It's a remora, dimwit.

Oliver's good in that he brings out the worst in Ryan - he's gone from the diamond in the rough to a possessive, impulsive dunderhead. And I still think Natalie is the nickname Oliver gave his left hand.

I think the impulsive dunderhead was always there. I've loved that about him.

As for possessive -- he is right, after all.

This may be the only reason I ever re-watch the Oliver-centric scenes.

I have actually been more intersted in Oliver's story since reading that one link in Natter about him being the male femme fatal/Val of the O.C.

Can someone recap me on Emily Valentine? My 90210 memory is very choppy.
