Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

The episode order was for 27 - and they ran 7 in the summer.

I rewatched Chrismukkah last night while trying to find a blank tape for Angel. Most FF-material except Summer as Wonderwoman and Ryan with the car door slamming. And some Sethisms. Too much big dumb lawsuit stuff and Marissa drinking in that ep, though.

Art Crawl!!!

I wonder if their season 2 will start when their season 1 did -- or if they will start their season at a time closer to other programs.

I am guessing not. They did that to get momentum and viewers - they certainly don't need to worry about that now.

I read an article with Adam Brody like a month ago saying that he was already nostalgic for the time before the show was huge because all the main cast are already looking at other projects. Their normal "get popular" time happened ridiculously fast.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the summer launch was to get buzz. Once they're inculcated upon the viewing public, there'll be less need.

Though I want 52 episodes a year, really.

I know - I know - not a general TV thread - but I just want to say I love the buffet of teen angst on FOX and WB promos right now. Sex without condoms! Car accidents! Dads who might be having heart attacks! Psycho stalkers with guns! I have to remember to watch the shows I always forget to watch next week (Everwood and One Tree Hill).

Oh I know I can be on-topic by talking about Smallville.

Hmmm....yeah. Not a lot to say about it. Not a great story. Worse than usual acting. No really yummy Lex moments. So what's up with that Adam kid? (There are no reliable spoilers I've seen as to what the real story is with him.)

Well, he died, so maybe he's a vampire and his injections are to keep him safe in the sun.

Was there any Lex and Clark this week?

In the comic store I saw a freaky Smallville cover (they tend to be very cheesy) of half-Lex, half-Clark. I wish I could find it online -- but the DC comics site is frustrating me.

I was about to say that even Smallville could not be that dumb. Then I remembered the promo for next week.

I was about to say that even Smallville could not be that dumb.

I just realized that sounded a little snarkier than I meant it to be. Sorry.

There was no Lex and Clark this week!! Boo!!

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I did a quick scan, and Skaara was debugged by the Tollan.

The little indicator light on his chest was Tollan; it could also make one or the other individual have control of the body; but the removal was done by the Tok'ra.

DANIEL : The, uh, Tok’ra have completed the procedure.
O’NEILL : Yeah?
Two Tok’ra carry out a jar containing KLOREL’S Goa’uld form.
