Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

I am bored and studiously avoiding many other things I could and should be doing, so ... here's a transcription for AnneW. More or less accurate. Did I mention ... so avoiding productivity?

Question: Um, what do you think about, um, Daniel and Jack slash? (Audience groans, laughs, claps, murmurs …)

MS: For those of you not in the know, umm, there’s a subculture, uh … or maybe there’s a lot of you that are in the know, I’m not sure … uh, there’s a subculture of, uh, what seems to be our fans that are devoted to, um, seeing, uh, the subliminal nature of the, uh, Jack and Daniel relationship.

CJ: Whatchoo talkin’ about (a la Arnold on DF)? [To the audience]: I wish you could see what I’m seeing. Young man in the front row going like this (mimes blow job).

MS: Now you guys came to life, huh? You’re all kind of quite, sittin’ back … now we start talking about some homosexual resationships, and you’re all [jumps out of chair excitedly]

CJ: Wait, before we proceed … you mean Jack and Daniel aren’t together?

BREAK

MS: (mumble) start to actually put on the voices, and say: [As Daniel … campy, plaintive whine] “Jaa-a-aack! Jack you can’t do that. It’s a very special culture!” [As Jack … campy, but less so]: “Oh Daniel. It’s always the same thing with you.”

Interestingly, I get the sense from the last sentence that Michael Shanks can do a dead-on impression of RDA doing Jack when he so chooses.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I adore it when actors poke light-hearted fun at their characters and shows. Bonus points when slash is involved, but one can still get full credit without.

ITA, ita. (Oh come on, who doesn't want to be able to write that at some point? It's fun!)

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thanks for the transcript, Jen!

BWAH!

OK, I looked away from the screen - what did the kid see when he touched Adam?

First one of these I've seen in a while.

Also? You're a superhero. Stop yelling for your mommy, and run him to the hospital. Sheesh.

But, hey. Whatever.

ETA: You're welcome, Anne. Funny, funny boys.

You know what's cute? The way Jack seems to be leaning back all the time.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Incidentally, it was actually the Tok'ra who took Klorel out of Skaara. So we had seen them do so successfully before they removed Kianna's goa'uld in Fallout, and then Osiris.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Are you sure? I thought it was the Tollan, because they were being all smug about their invulnerability to the Goa'uld. On the other hand, I don't remember anything about the removal technology itself; actually, it makes quite a lot of sense for that to be Tok'ra.

I did a quick scan, and Skaara was debugged by the Tollan.

Unrelatedly, watching Smallville, so far two thoughts:

  • Who is that holding Lana's hand as she dies?
  • PLEASE let Lex be going to die of auto-erotic asphyxiation.
