Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

''I'm working on 'Buffy: Deep Space Nine.' It will be dark and badly received.''

I would so watch this show.

Visilurking

I'd watch Buffy Millionaire, or even Buffy's Creek. As long as Joss was involved.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Today's episode of Highlander:

Cons: No Methos.

Pros: Duncan, sweaty and bare-chested, doing a kata, and then cutting his hair.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Right, yes. When he cut his hair, so much less magic. But there will be Methos eventually, right?

Missing in action since 2002...

'Buffy: Deep Space Nine.'

Why not? Anya's the first officer, Buffy uses those Bajoran earrings to hurt vampires (religious symbols), Giles and Ethan = Garak and Gul Dukat, and so on...

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Only at the end of the season, I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but epguides shows "Indiscretions", "To Be", and "Not To Be".

This season has a shameful lack of Methos.

Well, at least those will be new to me.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

What outlet is airing Highlander? I've seen a bunch of episodes a while back (and went to all the movies except #3), but it's been awhile, and when I caught a syndicated airing of an episode that didn't fit in with what I remembered. Joan Jett guest-starred as an immortal in it, and it was wildly different from anything else of the series that I had seen.

Garak and Gul Dukat, and so on...

Which reminds me of one of my favorite early episodes - when they accidently set off the lock-down mode on the station.

In the midst of them trying to regain control of the station from the Cardassian automatic defenses, Gul Dukat beams in to gloat, and then tries to beam out again, only to discover yet another secret lock-down mode put in by his superiors to prevent him from fleeing in cowardice.

Then, as they all try and save the day, we're treated to the Garak and Gul Dukat show in the background, arguing over which of the two of them was more virile, and thus more attractive to Major Kira.
