The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

quester, sorry about the pre-edit unclarity. I was comparing tonight's Stargate to last night's C.S.I., in which a Titanic-sized 'ship may have hit its iceberg.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

"Would it kill you to try?"

Hee, yes. Her imaginary Daniel is really very strongly S1/S2 Daniel, which is interesting. (How funny was the eyelash-batting? Very funny, that's how.)

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Anne - Oh yeah. That was a resounding thud.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

"I don't wanna hear it. t pause Good. Because I'm not in the mood. t pause All right. What?"

...

TEAL'C: "You are like a brother to me, O'Neill." JACK: "You're like what? 140?" TEAL'C: "A younger brother, perhaps. But that is not my point."

Yes! He was so Spader-ticcy!

I really liked this ep. Made me wonder what Trek might have been like if I felt more for more of their characters. I hated seeing Carter tired and depressed.

So was Grace her daughter? I totally thought she was her daughter.

I came down on seeing Grace as Sam's sense of fun and wonder, personally - she had to get back in touch with that to find her way out. Which is what Daniel is telling her to do when he tells her to investigate the cloud, and Daniel's the one who equates the cloud with Grace. (Which may or may not be so, but...)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think it was the timing of her dad appearing so hard on the heels of her "who are you?" that made me think relative, and then he talked to her about love and I wondered "her? her mother? no, she'd work that out." and settled on daughter.

I'm not even a shipper, but this was really poignant for me. They don't even need two sides of UST. Jack can look at her forever in that "I can't. I would, but I can't. So don't." way, and I'll be happy.

Gotta admit, the kiss? Nice. Very nice.

I kinda rewound for that.

Jack has nice "should be holding someone's head in a kiss" hands.

All is well that ends in pizza.

The jump cut to the kiss was visually jarring, but makes sense thematically.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I was all worried that they were gonna be "The One Twoo Wuv". But what they actually did? Much better. And yeah, I lked the kiss. The whole thing was very touching. "I'm not that complex."
