Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Let me recommend Wellbutrin! For weeks after I started taking it, I was remembering all my freaky dreams! The one with the party of ex-boyfriends, where everyone stood on chairs and I was later eaten by a lion; the Incredibly Symbolic one about a kitchen which had cookie dough in the drawers; the one where Ray Kowalski's father was my super...
They weren't bad bangs. I just remember thinking, "How is it that I can have bangs when I never get around to getting a haircut? Why aren't they in my eyes?" Then again, I also seemed to have had some frosting done.
Ooh, I *did* have all sorts of wacky dreams when I was on Zoloft, come to think of it, though they weren't usually fannish. I kind of miss them. (The other side effects not so much...)
No, it was really awful. Like, Stargate got crossed with the plot of Love Potion No. 9. Although it was kind of funny to watch Daniel try to explain that he'd ordered a hamburger and the counterperson had given him two bun-tops with lettuce and tomato but no actual burger... without speaking.
Er. Yeah. So, hamburger charades, then?
Well, he was in a McDonald's already, so the "hamburger" hand motion was easier to convey than you might think. The "top half of hamburger, twice, bottom half, zero" was quite a bit more difficult.
I'm of the belief that your dreams, the wild and wacky ones, can tell you a lot about yourself as a person. In a sort of third person fasion. But that's just me and may have as much validity as Phrenology.
Frosting, how do you remember how it looked...?
You've gotta understand, I've spent the last five days alternately drugged on Sudafed and Midol, so I actually find that image incredibly funny. (See how I'm blaming the drugs, not how embarassingly easily amused I am?)
Tell me he still had the floppy hair, because then it's even funnier.
I was looking in a mirror and noting that while most of the time I looked like Morticia Addams, it was also possible for me to look like a suburban matron. A simple matter of emphasizing the bangs, apparently. Dream hair physics are not like earth hair physics.
Earth hair physics is a class all by itself. My hair, not so much liking it long because it goes all Late-70s wavey and it's not easy to maintain. Straight was never in the cards for me.
Tell me he still had the floppy hair, because then it's even funnier.
It's Emily's call but I imagine it was, his floppy hair is like Teal'c's sigil. A defining characteristic to me.
Just wanted to remind the Farscapers that season 4 continues where it left off tonight at midnight.
Granted, it's Coup By Clam, so maybe next week is the one to start re-watching on.
Coup By Clam
Good Lord. The only redeeming thing about that episode was
John and Rygel in drag,
IIRC. But that *was* pretty damn good.
I thought Snyder's Nox was kind of a prickly jerk. But I was never sure if that was carryover from my impression of Snyder.
Awwww. I didn't get that. On the other hand, I just watched another one today, where they first meet the Tolans (sp?), and Omach (sp?) struck me exactly that way. I wanted to smack tha arrogant bastard. Well, not really, because I don't get that exercised over SG, but still ...
I'm with getting Emily's dreams televised (I also had that side effect for a while with Zoloft ... it was so much fun to have these, like, amazing, plot driven, wild dreams that I could remember [about the only thing I could remember on it]. They weren't fandom dreams, but, man were they fun. There needs to be a legal, OTC drug that can be taken just for that effect.)
