I've never used PF (I lurked a couple of times when the Phoenix was down, but have never posted) - but I am willing to try it if that is where the buffista O.C. talk migrates to.

I am ready to have this shot down in one fell swoop - but here goes - how about an OC thread here once we move servers and are comfy at the new place?

I really don't understand the process of new thread starting - so this question could already be mooty mcmooterson. Just thought I would ask.

There's a voting process to create new threads, because new threads create new volume and that puts a load on our connections. Also, there's been a lot of philosophical debate about how broadly the Buffista board should be defined, and there was resistance to even just a general TV thread, so it's unlikely an OC thread would get started here. However, there definitely seems to be a critical mass of OC interest, so I'm sure a PF thread would be lively.

Much of that resistance coming from me! So I thought I'd propose PF instead.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hmm... I'd much rather just discuss the OC in this thread -- even if we didn't want it to be a general TV thread, the understanding has always been that this thread wouldn't just be about the shows in the title.

And it's hard to describe just how much I hate PF. I find it unnavigable, ugly, and utterly frustrating to deal with. So if the discussion moves over there, I won't be following.

Yeah, with Amych.

I tried PF, but it gives me hives.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Me, I'd rather just discuss OC ... wherever. Natter, mostly.

I don't mind discussing it in Natter. It feels weird to discuss it here because it isn't SV/FS/DS -- like thread hijacking.

I have no problem with Natter for OC talk.

I would follow buffista O.C. talk wherever it went, but PF freaks me out a little. Then again, anyplace people talk on the interweb other than here kinda freaks me out a little. But that's really my issue.

This thread is so funny. I don't watch Due South or Farscape really (I barely know who the characters are when I am watching the show, much less reading about it). But it usually takes me three or four posts before I realize folks are talking about a show I don't watch. I'm all "Yeah! That was great. Oh yes, that *was* funny. Wait. Wait. George who? What the hell episode was ..oh."

Count me among those who despise People's Forum - only Phoenix Board migrations could get me to set foot there.
