Well, he is wearing that really silly outfit.
It is a little silly. But I've seen siller, like... the outfit they put on him in the time-travel-to-the-60s episode. And the outfit they put on him when he had to watch his parents die over and over again, and the royal robes in the addicted-to-the-sarcophagus episode... I'm seeing a pattern here. Is it a contract requirement?
Are any of those worse than Sam's outfit in that femlib episode?
Hmmm. The royal robes are about even with it, I think. God, that dress. The puffed sleeves were sort of the final insult. The things the other women were wearing were actually decent!

It cracks me up that the four of them took that whole experience as an excuse to play dress-up.
Now, was that all supposed to take place on the same day, or did they just wear those clothes the entire... wait, they drove from Colorado to Washington, didn't they? In the same clothes.
Well, it's not like they carry multiple sets of clothes when they go off-world. Presumably they're used to being a little stinky.
Hammond in the 60s gave him all the money in his wallet after Jack asked him too, although maybe that was at Zat point. I don't think it was a lot of money and they gave some to the hippies who were driving their van and then used what was left to get clothes. I don't think they traded their fatigues for clothes, but I maybe wrong.

Yet they always appear to be fresh-pressed and perky. ssshhh, ancient Jaffa secret.
You'd think their standard off-world kit would include some small easily-traded gold bars. If I was writing the series, it would, anyway.
