Jolinar was the one with Martouf, and Sam got Jolinar from a male host.

Jolinar just happened to be hiding out in that body. I'm pretty sure if it was Daniel or Jack trying to give CPR, S/he would have just as readily taken them over too.

Perhaps gender doesn't really matter all that much to the Symbiotes themselves, excpet to the extend of their host's compatability with a chosen partner's host body, gender-wise that is.

Sounds probable ... especially if you (symbiote) know you could end up driving hosts of either gender. You'd have to be sort of flexible that way.

OK, can't wait to see this ep so I can make sense of the performing pottery thing. I love that I haven't seen so many random eps. Makes it so much more fun.

"Window of Opporunity" ranks as one of my all time favorite eps. I would love to tell you more about it but that would take the fun out of watching it yourself. Hopefully you'll catch it sometime soon.

Somebody remind me tomorrow to ask vw to tape for me? They're actually showing the two episodes that I've managed to miss every single time they come around (and it's been around more than Mae West)... and I'll be off getting my head shrunk.
