Up with the sun

There will be no OC reruns or breaks this season

Really? So whatever I miss is gone forever (or until syndication)?

Hmmm. I may need to just suck it up and start taping.

What conflicts with Charmed?

The Simpsons is up against the first half of Charmed. So I usually get to see the last half anyhow, which is enough to get my Rose McGowan fix and boggle at whatever monstrosity Alyssa Milano is wearing. Oh, and understand the plots along the way.

They are re-airing on Thursdays after Tru Calling so far this season.

Cool. I might start watching it then.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Here, tina.

Oh! I forgot about the reruns, LJ.

There are scary cast drawings? Are these drawings that cast-members did of each other?

No - they are just drawings of the cast. Creepy.

And thanks for the link ita.

And I totally thought I put that last post in Natter. I think I need to de-caffeinate a little before posting more today.

Typing.very.slowly.

There will be no OC reruns or breaks this season, LJ, so you're guaranteed something to watch in that spot when Angel is off.

According to TV Tome's ep list (which might not be accurate) - there will be a break from Dec. 17 to Jan. 21. And after that there will be 11 more episodes if the 27 eps this season thing is correct.

Also - the ep guide is brimming with spoilers. Gahhh - do I look? I'm already so spoiled for Angel this season - maybe I should have one show with no spoiledness. But I want to look....

I should just buy a new VCR except Patrick doesn't get the need because he does not find the whole closet-tiny TV thing unduly cumbersome

Dude, you can get a cheapo VCR for like, $40, now! Go for it! Or, alternately, ask for one for christmas! Better yet, ask for a TiVO!

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

It's so cute the way Jack will hug and rock people.

The man gives good hug.

I am... feeling no desire to watch OC. Which is just as well and I'm not going to try to attach myself to it because God knows I have enough TV in my life...

That reminds me, Walmart had a fairly basic DVD player for about $40 last week. I'm sure it's no great shakes, but better than nothing for those of us without.

Up with the sun

My DVD was, like, $80 from the Amazon Gold Box, and it's survived almost 18 mos. of pretty heavy usage. and I should just buy a cheap VCR, i just feel strange about it because we do technically have one. I have no idea why I'm being so cheap about spendng $40 on a VCR, when I can blow more than that on CDs without blinking.

Better yet, ask for a TiVO!

I really want it, but it seems pointless without cable. And cable's not an option right now, both from the Patrick-doesn't-watch-TV standpoint and from the Lyra-watches-too-much-TV-when-she-has-cable standpoint. Possibly I wouldn't gorge if it was always there, but I'm afraid to fnd out. Also, it seems that Tivo does not prevent said gorging, and may encourage it.

TV is An Issue, and y'all are my enablers.

All is well that ends in pizza.

What conflicts with Charmed?

Good writing?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Now, they do occasionally have good writing on that show.

In the plots that they steal whole cloth from Buffy.
