Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

I'm old school. Like Happy Shopper.

So, I've been feeling a bit poorly this week, so every day when I get in from work, I've just spent the evening slumped in front of the television, which has led me to discover that E4 are showing Smallville every day. Unfortunately, we're at the end of season 2, and it's the finale tonight and I'm a leetle lost. Although I think this might actually be a good place to pick it up, as I've tried once or twice before, and found it boring, but I've been getting quite into it. I mean, creepy-killer-clone-children, what's not to love?

Anyhoo, I think I've managed to pick up most of the basics from the past 3 episodes, but there's just one or two things I'm wondering, like does Pete know Clark's secret? Does Helen know, or does she just know there's something funky with his blood? Have any other characters quietly figured it out, but are pretending not to know(ie Lex!)? Are Lana's parents really dead? Where does Chloe get her clothes from!?

Or if someone could point me in the direction of a good site, that'd be great. The only two I've stumbled across so far just had TV Guide type descriptions of the episodes, which weren't quite as detailed as I was hoping for.

Thank you!

All is well that ends in pizza.

does Pete know Clark's secret?

Yes. Since early season 2, I believe.

Does Helen know, or does she just know there's something funky with his blood?

No the first, yes to the second.

Have any other characters quietly figured it out, but are pretending not to know(ie Lex!)?

Lex thinks Clark is super keen, and maybe indestructable. Love blinds him from Clarks' other powers. Others? not really. Chloe should have by now.

Are Lana's parents really dead?

probably.

Where does Chloe get her clothes from!?

God knows. The moon? Simplicity patterns? Metropolis?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Ken, Didn't get any Andrew vibe from him myself.

No I realized where I knew him from, and that's where I got the vibe. He was Andy's office mate on ANDY RICHTER CONQUERS THE UNIVERSE, and his character there was sort of Andrew-ish.

Great, a show I like that probably will get cancelled is reminding me of a show I liked that did.

Farscape season 4 seems to be resuming it's Sunday at Midnight slot starting in December. Thank dog they've been moving my Adult Swim shows to before midnight again.

Art Crawl!!!

Damn, I'm going to miss next week's lovely Lextastic Smallville.

That sucks sumi. By FAR the best part of last night's Smallvile were the previews for next week. Lex in a straightjacket? Squeeee!!

And O.C. - besides all the icky sex talk from Supermom I loved it. A choice exchange:

Seth: So when you were losing your virginity I was playing Magic the Gathering.
Ryan: You still play magic.
Seth: Yeah! But not as much!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

With every whitefonted OC post, my willpower not to highlight becomes less and less.

It's a remora, dimwit.

How many times has Lex worn that lavender shirt? I could swear I've seen it at least three times before. I definitely remember remarking to a friend that he was one of the few men who carry off wearing that sort of pastel without making some sort of political statement.

Be strong Jess! You only have until tonight - the whitefonted lines here are SO much funnier when The Seth actually says them.

I could swear I've seen it at least three times before.

Same here - at least a couple.

How bad did I want it to be Lex that Chloe had to kiss to hide from the Dr. at the hospital? Bad. I just want Lex to be kissed. Often. Perferably by Clark, but I'll take what I can get.

It's a remora, dimwit.

Smallville had a nerdy guy named Seth whom Lana described as being into comic books. Is the name Seth that stereotyped, or was it a nod to the O.C.? And, if he were into comic books, why wouldn't he have made some remark about now being like Magneto?

I think right now Lana believes that Clark is just another one of the Smallville meteor rock mutants, but he's lying to her about it, even though they took pains to establish that they both know it's not necessarily an evil-maker. And, actually, it would make things so much easier to admit that he's affected by the meteors - he can be a bit vague and still let her know that he's different without bringing up the whole alien issue.
