Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hey, anyone notice who wrote the Tru Calling ep last night? Or know when Doug gets to write one? The fireman's name being Nick Kelly and the fact that he died made me hope for ME writer action, but I would hope for better from Mr. Petrie.

**** Adam Brody's delivery is nothing short of genius, and he and Peter Gallagher really work well together. And I say that not liking PG.

And verily, the slash does write itself.

you can call me bob.

Does she run?

She actually took a cab. I almost fell off the couch.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

smonster, I think the fact he died was predictable, and not from an ME way, but from a not adding a regular character way. It hadn't occured to me he'd live.

you can call me bob.

Two episodes in and they've already used close to half of the available story lines for the concept. We've had Surprise Suicide Prevention and Death of a Hero. What's left? Savior Guilt - Tru's actions cause the DOW (death of the week) to die in a different tragic way; Family Death - DOW is Tru's brother or sister (season finale); No DOW At All - Tru deals with not being needed.

God I love this show.

Woo hoo for O.C. love! Trying to hook a friend, I showed her the scene in the kitchen: with the "Seth's women" line last night. And the ferris wheel scene. Not for kissage but for Ryan's hilarious freak out. We'll see if she converts.

Or know when Doug gets to write one?

I was reading somewhere the other day about Petrie working on a new Lost in Space series. So he may not be writing any Tru Calling after all. I totally forgot that T.C. was on last night. But I had no desire to watch it based on the previews. I did watch Homecoming last night for no reason at all though. So got an ED fix anyway though.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ryan was so cute in that scene! I mean, he's cute in every scene, but that one especally. Yay.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Jessica, I loved that line, too. I loved Sandy's response, filled with incredulousness, "Seth? Seth Cohen?" So very funny.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I was scolded elsewhere for not pointing these out - you know, in a good-natured kind of way - so I figured I'd let y'all know that the spoilery screencaps for the second half of the Stargate two-parter have shown up.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I was trying to think of Seth quotes to post/tag, and realized that this week it was pretty much all in the delivery. So instead I'm going to comment on some of his physical acting stuff:

In no particular order:

Sliding down the stair rail while talking to Summer

Touching his just-kissed lips while talking to Summer at the fair

Touching Anna gently on the shoulder while walking through the hall.

His reaction to Ryan's look in reaction to his comment about communicating with a look.

I could go on, and on, and on. I can't remember the last time I adored, purely adored, one fictional character so much.

I adore Ryan, too, it's just that there's not as much to detail there. (whereupon ita will prove me wrong, and i invite her to do so, gladly)

WRT Tru Calling, yeah, ita, it was pretty predictable. I just want to see what a DP-penned ep looks like, I guess.

It's a remora, dimwit.

I've noticed that it's always the third theory Tru comes up, and just in time to prevent it. And I was thinking it was the boy from the beginning. He stayed in the building instead of leaving with everyone else, the mother somehow knew that her son wouldn't have left, and you don't see little girls with Benzene on them just because of a gas leak. I'd like to see what happens if Tru's third idea is wrong, and the person dies again. Does she repeat the day a third time? Or does the corpse ask to see her manager when brought in.

My fanwank for the friction between Jonathan and Jor-El. Jor-El never intended for Jonathan and Martha to raise his son. He wanted Hiram and not knowing that much about humans, figured he'd still be alive. Jonathan was just supposed to be Kal's brother. It's like getting a sub instead of the doctor or stylist you wanted to see. Even if they do a good job, you're still a bit snippy.
