Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It was eh. The most emotional reaction I got was when she kicked the gun away, but she kicked the line of fire across the woman whose life she was there to save.

So I think I was kinda detached.

Art Crawl!!!

I enjoyed it. . . it has potential and it's fun to see ED on tv.

Was CKR the married father of this week's dead person's baby? (Why didn't I recognize him?)

Yes. It took me a second to recognize him, probably because he wasn't scruffy and was dressed far too conservatively.

you can call me bob.

I was really distracted by the "earlier tonight on Tru Calling." Whatever the motivation, it completely broke up the flow of the story - what little flow there was.

I was ready to declare Tru Calling OK until the last 3 or 4 minutes. The wind-blown graveyard voiceover monologue was just - blech for me. HOT? Yes. ED is hot for sure, but I don't think I'll watch again until Petrie's first episode. He is confirmed as a writer still, yes?

Yeah, I guess that the producers of Tru Calling must think that they have many people who are watching Friends who aren't also watching Scrubs . . . but to me, I imagine it's people who are watching Scrubs who tune into Friends because it's what's on first.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Next week's Tru Calling, for people who want to give the show a chance, is probably not the episode that will suck you in. If anything, it's worse than the pilot.

My main issue with the show is she's so bad at it! Tru, I mean, not ED. If she keeps up the way she's been doing, she's going to have restraining orders from everyone in the entire city by mid-season.

Oh, as usual, dear.

Maybe I'll skip next week, then. It's not like I'm invested beyond "Eliza Dushku is hot," after all.

Yeah, I'm definitely hoping Tru gets better at it, cause that was just painful. But I'm with shrift on the "Mmm, Eliza" boat.

but she kicked the line of fire across the woman whose life she was there to save.

If she'd kicked it the other way, wouldn't it have gone across Tru? I suppose you could argue who it's better to save, but me, I'm selfish, I'd rather the chance go to the woman who was kinda supposed to die anyway, rather than ME!
