And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Why don't we do it with the 'sode?
Why don't we do it with the 'sode?
Why don't we do it — do with the 'sode?
No one will be watching us,
Why don't we do it with the 'sode?

Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl,
but she doesn't have a lot to say
Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl
but she changes from day to day

I want to tell her that I love her a lot
But I gotta get a bellyful of wine
Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl
Someday I'm going to make her mine, oh yeh,
someday I'm going to make her mine.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I like the "Like Dostoevsky, only with whimsy" suggested at the beginning of the discussion. I like the continuity, and I like the juxtaposition and the dichotomy. I'm just funny like that. I will, however, bow to the will of the majority. As long as it doesn't contain the word monkey. Primate I'll go for, but monkey is so last year.

I can't even.

Lurkers. Lurkers. Lurkers.

Not anywhere like old for me yet.

And they do, but I don't abuse their trust with grandstanding.

I was getting freaked out by the overt discussion of repro too, especially since we know that journalists sometimes use that thread as a source.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

David, don't have it narrowed down at least for a run off?

The top three are clearly: Sode, Lurkers and Solution.

After that there's no consensus. I think we'll need a vote if somebody wants to set up a Mr. Poll.

Voting results posted. No politics thread, but enough of a desire that some accommodation for political discussion seems reasonable.

Thanks, Sean!

See, I like the consensus, but I also like the clarity that voting brings.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

but enough of a desire that some accomodation for political discussion seems reasonable.

This was never up for a vote though. It wasn't like Politics Thread or no politcal talk at all. I don't think we need any accomodation other than what is normal around here.

I was trying to thread-nanny people who might be inclined to thread-nanny political talk.

My ploy was perhaps less than subtle.
