Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

C'mon, billytea, it's continuity!

At some point it becomes overworked. For me that point's passed. It feels like we're forcing it now.

Plus, I too like the Beatles (though I still prefer mine. Go kissing girls, choose kissing girls.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Overworked? C'mon -- comedy loves threes!

Also, the Beatles mean nothing to me.

t blows three raspberries

Comedy also loves timing.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

comedy must have threes. I personally prefer a darkly comic title for this thread, rather than a descriptive one. YbureaucrazyMV.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'll note that there were actual reasons for the first two Bureau titles. Kafka was just a good joke, since his bureaucracies were particularly hellish and ours was funnier. Sartre came up because at some point in Kafka we all became acutely aware that not only were Other People Hell, but this was the very room in which they were all trapped together.

"We can work it out" sounds too blandly optimistic to my ear, and doesn't have the knowing, wry, all-too-aware quality of the others.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Maybe, Bureaucracy 3: Talking Till We Can't Go On.

Bureaucracy 3: Like the Beatles, but with much more detail...

Didn't somebody make a brialliant suggestion for B:3 that we all loved a month or two back?

(Okay, typing is sucking ass again tonight)

Also, just because I mentioned this earlier...

Wolfram has now voted as well. I think all the Buffistas who are otherwise observing Passover have now voted.

Was it the B 3: Dead Horses R Us one? That's all I can think of.

FTR - I like the "Like X, but Y" thread titles for Bureau. The continuity, smart plus funny and threesomeness of it.

I've snuck in here in the middle of the night to start another round of our favorite game here in the Bureaucracy Thread. That's right. It's time for Let's Update the FAQ. We're moving on to Customs and Ritual Practices. And folks? The prizes are just getting bigger.

Here we go.

Q: How do I register at this here Phoenix Board?

A. This answer is fine as is. Updates to the actual registration page will be handled separately.

Q. I want one of those tagline things. What do I do?

A. Looks OK. Links are good.

Q. How do I Post?

A. Looks alright to me.

Q. What's with all those cool cartoon versions of the cast?

A. Those are StorTroopers. You can build your own Stor at [link] . Several talented people played around with creating Stors to represent the cast, and before we knew it, we had a gallery.

In DXs and Dana's updates to the FAQ they both determined this should be archived/deleted. But others have expressed a desire to keep it somewhere in the FAQ for Buffista History/Links to Our Past purposes.

I have an idea. Why not create a Buffista History page w/this and all the dialect stuff that is going to be deleted that refers to terms Buffistas used to use (GGG, Cousin Klingon, KoB, etc.) but don't use anymore? This makes it easier for the newbie reading the FAQ and provides info for anyone who wants to see the stuff from the past that is still treasured but not so usable anymore. What do ya'll think?

Q. Can I use HTML to format my posts in nifty and interesting ways?

A. All good as far as I can tell.

Q. That HTML stuff sure is fiddly. I wish there was an easier way.

A. Loving it. No changes.

Q. How do I quote something I want to reply to?

A. Fabulous. Don't change a thing.

Q. What do you guys consider a spoiler?
Q. Are all casting news items considered spoilers?

Ahem. Pretty sure these are going to have to change once Angel is off the air but until then, we need to leave them as is.

Q. What if I can't determine if news is allowable under Summer Casting Rules?

Minor change here.

First sentence reads: "Don't post it. Ask in the applicable spoiler or spoilers-lite thread." So we need to delete ref. to lite.

New answer:

A. Don't post it. Ask in the applicable spoiler thread. One of our experienced Buffista Spoiler Companions will be glad to help you figure it out. Chances are, if it's legal information, one of them will have already posted it in the applicable show thread, anyhow.

Q. Do I have to use the white font for spoilers?

Minor change again to delete reference to Lite threads.

New Answer:

A. In the spoiler thread, no, but it's good form if there is something really really shocking and impending. Like, for example, quotes from an early-bird review. Also, be aware that people using text-only browsers like Lynx don't get any juice out of the white font, so it's nice to give them a text-only warning that there are spoilers ahead.

Q. How do you do the white font to hide spoilers?

A. Fine as is.

Q. Cool. Can I post in other colors besides white?

A. Link is good. Looks fine.

Q. How do I link to another Phoenix Board post?

A. Also fine.

Q. How do I link to something outside of the Phoenix Board?

A. Fantastic!

Q. How do I navigate around and between the threads?

A. We discussed changing this a while back - but never really decided how it could be any better. I think its very helpful as is.

Q. Is it okay to go off-topic?

A. Awesome!

Q. Y'all talk a lot! I love it, but I can't keep up! Should I quit my job?

A. Whee! No changes.

That wasn't bad at all (knock on wood). Talk about it. Discuss. Extoll me and my virtues and/or faults. I'll be in bed.
