But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yup. I was objecting to the real name thing first, but since that seems settled...

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Would it be easier to make it two paragraphs to make a clean break; also to disguise the gentle suggestion with advice in how to get one's name changed if one so desires?

Buffistas tend to choose user names that can be easily used in conversation. Sometimes they are people's real names or nicknames; sometimes they are the names they always wished their parents had the sense to give them. You may feel cosmically drawn to the name @$sd_myxp12, but "What @$sd_myxp12 said" does not fall trippingly off the fingers.

To reduce confusion, please avoid the names of famous people, including ME writers, and the names of existing posters. For example, if your name is Tiffany and there is already a Tiffany on the board, pick a variation, whether it be TiffanyT or Breakfast.

If you desire a name change, mention it briefly in natter and if ita feels like it, she will remind you of a name and then change it for you.

Incidentally, remind me why we're nixing the NTSC/PAL info?

Because we took out the paragraph/links about buying eps of Buffy on tape entirely.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Because we took out the paragraph/links about buying eps of Buffy on tape entirely.

DVDs also come in NTSC and PAL. (Most multi-region players will also switch between formats, so it's less of an issue, but it doesn't disappear entirely.)

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

DVDs also come in NTSC and PAL.

Within a particular region? I've always assumed that Region 1 was NTSC, Region 2 was PAL, etc.

I have no idea - I tought it only referred to tapes.

I'll change my edits to show that we keep it as is.

But why does that mean that the NTSC/PAL info should be taken out of the FAQ? It still seems relevant to me.

[edit: Oh, I see -- the way it's worded, it really doesn't make any sense if all we're going to have is links to the DVD sets. Perhaps it should be replaced by a paragraph about DVD regions (that includes mention of video formats)?]

What is even happening?

Are the instructions on subscribing to mailing lists (Like Somervillains, etc.) in the FAQ? I couldn't find them, but I'm exhausted, and stupid.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Wow. That's an actual major newspaper.
