Religion isn't the cause of wars. It's the excuse. - Christopher Brookmyre

Regarding deathmatches, I voted to close the thread, but would like now, to close it, but not archive it, keeping it in reserve for if more people are interested in deathmatching.

Is it too early to reconsider the vote's verdicts? And how serious is the thread proliferation issue, now we're on our new host. I gather the problem hasn't gone away, but don't know much more.

Not to throw another vote into gear, but I think a dedicated deathmatch thread might be something to consider (possibly down the line). I think it's popular, fun, a good group activity, reinforces our cultural glue. But it's not something I want to act on right away.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Worth thinking about, as long as deathmatches aren't limited to quotes. The poetry version of March Madness (can't remember whether it was mentioned in this thread or some other) has grabbed my imagination.

Not ready to propose any such thread, or decide how I'd vote if someone else proposed, though.

Kidding.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I almost hate to say this, given that Wonderfalls just got cancelled, but we're going to need a name for the next Minearverse thread real soon now. Any thoughts?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The current title looks a little ironic, doesn't it?

How about -- The Minearverse: I surrendered to destiny and all I got was this lousy T Shirt.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Any thoughts?

Minearverse 2: The rest is silence.

eta: too depressing, I know. Blame DX. He told me to post it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Minearverse: I surrendered to destiny and all I got was this lousy T Shirt.

I like it. Except it's depressing.

How about -- The Minearverse: Well, there's still the Heinlein thing.
