Visilurking

Whew, 350-odd posts.

Rather then do a meara or a Searching-for-Bobby-Fisher-chess-game-in-the-park-type responses to some of the previous posts, I just want to say that I was very touched by things that have been said to and/or about me, and I am really glad we had that long discussion the other day. For me at least, it really cleared the air. I do apologize to those of you who couldn't care less and still had to wade through it, because I know the feeling well.

Sneaking out now before I generate another 200 posts. ;)

350 odd ones huh? Outta how many? I've found the proportion of odd to.. less odd, to be higher in here as a rule ;)

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Should we maybe send a quiet note to whoever runs that forum? Just to say "er, we've had this person on our board, she's quite sparklingly insane, thought you should know before the havoc and disruption start"?

Or is that the kind of idea I only get when I'm sleep-addled?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Not worth another thought. She'll crazy herself out wherever she goes, and this is an effort for more attention. I would like to throttle whoever it is that gave her a computer and net access. It's like putting a toddler in front of a television and giving them a rusty razor blade to play with, and then going on vacation.

It's good etiquette to reach out to your fellow fandom net community, but not like this. Maybe that forum is full of fellow crazy folk. If she starts to cause disruption, then emailing the webmaster a short note explaining that she was booted here, and why, would be helpful.

Might want to think how Buffistas would feel if another site webmaster e'd us to give us the heads up on a newbie. Mayhaps we'd be wary, but at least in our archiving case, we could nilly up a pattern that would be helpful in determining for them whether or not to nip the problem in the bud.

All right, then. It was mostly the insomnia talking, but I do feel bad for both her and for whichever boards she visits herself upon in the future.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Yeah, she really seems to be spinning out.

Oh, I didn't post that for anyone to contact the other board about her specifically. I just thought maybe people would want to have the link removed.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Honestly? In her current mind-set, it's going to be readily apparent to anyone concerned that all is not well. I think leaving it alone is our best path here. She'll tire of it soon enough, and if other people follow her links and find us, I don't think it's a big deal. Just because it's a link from a crazy person doesn't mean that only crazies will click on it.
