We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Guys, at this point, you two either need to take it to email or just learn to ignore each other. This isn't a community issue because neither of you is being generally hostile or rude, but (speaking for myself), I'm sick of watching you snipe at each other.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I dropped out of UnAmerican because I was being too disruptive--my bantering tone about politics was taken as being disrespectful of the other posters so I exiled myself because I was upsetting Fay and Angus and the others.

Caroma, for what it's worth, you have never made me angry or upset me. You've inspired me to write long posts about Big Important Things and think hard about stuff, and I'm sorry that this is (sometimes) boring and/or patronising etc, and that you weren't actually taking the issues as seriously as I was. But, fwiw, I was never upset about it. I just disagreed with you. Different thing. You haven't seen me angry with you, however provocative you may have been, deliberately or otherwise, 'cause you've never made me angry.

In fact I can't remember anyone making me really mad here* other than Allyson, which was down to my own misunderstanding and once I realised how thoroughly I had misunderstood her point I emailed her to apologise for being a jerk. We're cool. She's a gentleman and a scholar.

Although, being the tremulous wee flower she is, I'm sure that she appreciated your sympathy over what a bitch I can be. That was very supportive of you.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

When I was teaching, a clinician told us that the back-of-the-neck thing or a bad headache were a really strong sign one is dealing with actual delusions rather than made-up ones.

Wow, very interesting. This was my own personal, non-scientific way of assessing such behavior, so it's interesting to hear that clinicians rely on it as well.

I am sure that I have the same effect on some people

Honestly Scrappy I can't imagine you sounding patronizing, bossy, or arrogant to anyone. That could just be my Scrappy-love talking, but I don't think so.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

And Allyson, I've been on the receiving end of Fay anger too. I'm sure I deserved it, but Yikes, huh?

We worked it out off-board, immediately.

I should just unsubscribe, but the descending spiral is strangely fascinating.

It's giving me a huge squick. There's a bizarre post about Fay using an assumed name. We're like her imaginary television people, and she's lost all sense of what is real. It is strangely fascinating, I guess, since I can't seem to look away, like it's a car wreck in slow mo.

Can we stop talking about her now?

Fair point, well made.

Our wings are not tired.

We may need to hold an intervention Cindy. Really, let's go back to reading Rules Girls or something more entertaining.

Hell, discussing what we can vote on next sounds like more fun!
