"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Holli's a computer program who's doing a hologram? Man, I can never keep up with backchannel.

No. She's a computer program that created a hologram that's disguised as an elderly inuit dutchwoman from Hoboken who is using Trudy, Hil, meara and SA as sockpuppets. Pay attention.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Damn. I think Clovis has some serious competition to worry about.

I can't even.

Okay, that fired off my bullshit detectors. Next thing, you'll be telling me the blinvisible internet people get married to each other. I mean, born at night and all ...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I offered to do the music stuff and at the end of it all realized that I stepped on Hec's toes.

Yeah, ya big galoot! OTOH, I didn't have to haul a PA system halfway across the city like we did in Chicago. Of course, that was kind of fun riding around with Jon and Emily and talking about binomials and Goldfrapp.

Nope, but Clovis is going to offer her some contract work, 'cos he's impressed.

Religion isn't the cause of wars. It's the excuse. - Christopher Brookmyre

When I do post, sometimes I feel like I am talking to thin air, but oh well.

Just speaking as another newbie, I think it's very difficult not to feel like that. Cause everyone seems to know each other, and it's impossible to tell how secure invidividual people actually feel, so it's seems like it's all the confident people, and you, the lone newbie.

Just wanted to point out that it's very easy to feel like this, without anyone actually having been unwelcoming or cliquey(and people have been really nice to me), just cause it's the nature of the board. Any board with a culture and a lot of people, I think.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I offered to do the music stuff and at the end of it all realized that I stepped on Hec's toes. Not cool of me, and thing is I didn't really clue in to what I'd done until much much later.

Re-galooting what Hec said. There was a minute or two where I felt stepped on because I had done all the work getting the PA in Chicago. But I got over it. I mean, a professional sound guy wanted to take care of the PA? Go Team Drew!

I also wanted to add my voice to the chorus of those who feel ignored sometimes. I recognize that it happens to everyone and I don't let it bother me. It just makes those times when I'm not ignored all the more special. ;)

There's no way to NOT feel ignored at times. Not unless you do nothing but post in every thread. The people you're responding to are away from the computer, or are busy in another thread, or you can't stay on the computer to keep responding to people.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Did somebody say something?

t looks around...

Huh. I could've sworn...

(Okay, not nearly as funny when someone else posts in between...)

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

There's no conspiracy of silence. That I know of. That I will admit.
