I don't want this to turn into, like, Jets-and-Sharks time, only with keyboards instead of switchblades.

I'd be up for some song and dance numbers, though.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Now we know how you got the guacamole on your pants.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

it's a membership page that lists all registered users, then (my guess) some people opt in to have their email, webpages, location, etc available. It also lists date joined and tallies the # of posts.

That does sound useful, though with almost 1200 users, I wonder how much of a strain it would be on the server every time someone accessed it?

I didn't say I'd be any good at them.

Huh. I stopped by Minearverse and saw what was up. Yeah, it looks like a simple delurking misunderstanding, and nothing to get up in arms about. I still think the person was overly defensive, but whatever.

Yeah, I guess I don't really have anything important to add.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just for the record (and mea culpa), I think I was rude to JohnSwedon when I first saw him post. (It was at peoplesforum, and I was already feeling confused and off-kilter.) But he bounced back! It was all OK!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I agree with Jess -- we have almost twice as many posters as the example. I think a search function for users may be on the request list (so you don't have to go hunting for someone's posts to be able to call up their profile).

Also -- we should probably note a couple things on the registration page -- if you have a protected account (like Earthlink), please add admins@buffistas.org to your allowed sender list, so that the registration message will reach your inbox, and although your e-mail address is protected by default, admins will always be able to see it, for official use only.

Hi! Could the next available stompy change my user name to Lee? Thanks!

Okay.
