Up with the sun

Wasn't trying to be all Jets-and-Sharks; just expressing amazement.

I didn't think anyone was at that point yet -- I've just seen Badness and Drama arise from similar situations, and was probably a bit quick with the request to Doblerize because of that. No offense meant.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I doblerized. I stopped myself from replying only because the EXACT same thing happened at the Beta. VIP's were posting and it was all about getting them over to HMC.

That's fine. Easy to ignore when it comes down to VIP envy.

Ann, that's a ferret.

You get to go home to Jilli every night.

I deserved that.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I deserved that.

We all of us deserve it. But very few of us get it, ya lucky bastard.

Thanks for all the fish.

I couldn't resist, Mr. Pete.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I think HMC is a relative of the old Bronze threaded board. Which explains a lot in terms of the defensive posture and the name, and the shill. It's not malicious, just part of that board culture.

The threaded was always treated like the redheaded stepchild by Linear Bronzers.

And some folks don't get the "when in rome" sentiment. *shrug*

No reason to get up in arms, except to maybe discuss how to handle anything like it in the future.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

msbelle, I can't get to the page you linked to. (None of the HMC board pages will load for me.) What kind of a feature is it?

Cashmere - Mar 17, 2004 6:23:31 am PST #7506 of 10005
Now tagless for your comfort.

Jess, it's a list of registered users with their info and a private messaging feature. I think it's standard on a lot of posting forums--it is with Sparklies. Makes it easy to find users.

It's my understandng that registration is usually automatic, yes? (Correct me if it isn't.) If that's the case, could we set up some kind of a search that would route any usernames containing certain keywords (Minear, Noxon, Whedon, Boreanaz, etc.) to the Stompies for checking over? Or do we already have something like that in place?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

it's a membership page that lists all registered users, then (my guess) some people opt in to have their email, webpages, location, etc available. It also lists date joined and tallies the # of posts.
