Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I was far away from the counting. I am no accountant. Talk to me when there's a dispute over the interpretation of the numbers.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

waves

Hello, Stompy folk? Would there be any possibility of somebody editing this for me? I'm not around here anything like as much as in days of yore and it's only by the merest chance that I popped into COMM just now for the first time in months or I'd have missed it. Whilst being v. chuffed about being COMMed, I'm also frozen with horror at the fact that the amusingly-named place has been cited along with my friend's name - thing is, I'm pretty sure it's a quotation from an email I sent, rather than something I posted here. (The possibility that I posted these details here is scaring the b'jaysus out of me, though...)

And, yes, if I were less of an ass I'd be careful not to include my friend's name or the actual town itself in my general email, but evidently I am an ass. I didn't think it would get quoted verbatim on the site. Discretion - it's not my best thing ever.

Please can you edit it - if not removing the name of the town, then at least my friend's name?

(Am going to try to get hold of Trudy also just now, but only have v. short time online, as ever, so thought I'd try y'all first.)

Sorry to be so arsey - would be hugely grateful if you could help me with this one.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I've removed the name of your friend and replaced with "my friend." If you want to delete the name of city, I would suggest you have Trudy delete the whole post, as it's kind of pointless without it. It's your call. (If you can't get hold of Trudy, and feel strongly about it, I can also delete for you. Let me know.)

Cheers, pet - have emailed Trudy. V. much appreciated.

(...I realise it will all sound remarkably dumb/over-reactiony to most everyone outside my head, but there we are. I'm a mad old bag.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I've made it go bye.

t Just curious Does the current Bitches thread lack an apostrophe (sp?) in "Spikes Bitches: 14 Year Old Hormone Bomb" only on my screen? Is it something like the time when only my screen showed blue 'links' continuing to the threads descriptions from the threads names? Because I do see the apostrophe on, for example, "Spike's Bitches 13: This thread is not yet rated.", so I'm wondering about my screen's new craziness.

Thanks.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It reads that way for me too, Nilly.

It was just a typo. Fixed now.

Thanks, DXM. At least I know that I'm just a nitpick, not a crazy-screen-haver.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Trudy, I'm really sorry for sounding like such a bitca - I know that it must seem like an over-reaction. It's just that my town is 80% unpopulated, and pretty much the ONLY Westerners are the ones working for my company. Totally unlikely that anyone would happen across COMM, but weirder shit has been known to happen and my friend and I are pretty much joined at the hip, so anyone who happened to be fluent enough with English to be reading the threads AND who knew the city would be able to identify me from that. Mad, but true.

sorry!
