Xander: Am I right, Giles? Giles: I'm almost certain you're not. Though, to be fair, I haven't been listening.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I suspect the equivalent USian translation would be "It's Miller time!"

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

all power to her elbow

Note to self: Add to personal lexicon.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

...I think it's more of a 'Go Her' kind of thing than a 'Beer Now!' kind of thing. Um. If that's what 'Miller Time' means? Sort of like talking about something needing a lot of elbow grease meaning it needs a lot of work. But I don't know that I've ever thought about it before, as such. Hmm...

I look more rad than Lutheranism

That is what "It's Miller Time!" means.

Ann, that's a ferret.

If that's what 'Miller Time' means?

Fay, "It's Miller Time!" is an old advertising slogan. It means, "It's been a long, hard day, and now it's time to relax." With Miller beer, of course.

Miller time is sort of you've done a good job, now here's your reward, so yeah, not quite the same. I was thinking more of bending an elbow in celebration.

Also, HI FAY!!!!

If I only had a brain...

Huh. Great phrase. I'd correlated it with "God bless the human elbow, may he bless it where it bends", which is a drinking song.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Buffy 4: Grr. Arrgh. (7042 messages)
Discussion of (the last ever!) current Buffy episodes.

Should we not change this? The word "current" could make people think we aren't really updating the board upon first glance.

Volans - Jan 04, 2004 10:49:14 am PST #6376 of 10005
move out and draw fire

Also there's a lot of Angel spill-over in Buffy 4. Not that I'm going to start flinging the "off-topic" smackies around, but I'm keeping myself pure for Angel as much as I can, which means I can't go into the Buffy 4 thread safely.

Probably not a big deal for anyone but me.

I'd wondered what happened to Zoe. It was nice of her to write and let us know, and I hope things go as well as they can for her.

Random question: I missed the memo on Lightbulbs, and my screen doesn't say the thread is closed. Where does voting and stuff happen now?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Raquel, there's spillover, but I believe that any S5 spoilers have been edited out.

But I reminded people again that it's Non NAFDA.
