"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think the monkeys are keeping Gus away.

There is in fact a travel book called (approx.) "Do Not Touch the Monkey: Things I Learned About Travelling Abroad".

Gus, by another name, or a book he needed before going?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Proposal: That we open this year's Goodbye to 2003/Thank You to Secret Santas thread as soon as we've moved to our new server and agreed on a name.

The reason -- I came home after T-day weekeng to a mystery gift from an anonymous Buffista! I can't be the only one, so it looks like time to open out annual thank you thread.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Second, although I don't think we need to vote on it because it's been a standing holiday thread for a couple of years now. It more a matter of reopening a temporarily closed thread, like F2F.

What DXM said.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

That works for me.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Agreed. Although if you want a vote on when to open the thread, I'll provide a second.

(BTW, do we have a date scheduled for the move?)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No, we don't. We're out by the end of this month, hook or crook, but right now we're waiting for the server to be set up by the new hosts.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Stuff should be happening on the new hosts' end by the end of this week.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I dunno if this is the right place to ask... Is the original Firefly thread at WX archived anywhere, and if not, does anyone have a link to it? I seem to have lost my WX subscriptions and can't find the forum.

Suela, it's Joss in Space: The Firefly discussion.
