If y'all can create threads and rename them how come you can't uncreate them? Not that the triple X thread spurt wasn't amusing and all.
Bureaucracy 2: Like Sartre, Only Longer
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.

Because only ita can kill a thread.
Because only ita can kill a thread.
Is that an administrative thing, or does she just claim dibs on all the killing round here?
(If I'd thought of changing titles, I'd have been tempted to change the wrong!BoxedSets to "these are not the threads you've been looking for." Mostly, though, I'm glad I wasn't around at the right moment to make it four...)
Well, the code was written assuming the complete perfection of all admins. Which is so self-referentially flawed that I may disappear in a puff of logic.
If there are no messages, I can delete ASAP. And that should be on the features list (in addition to the display of thread ID on the thread maintenance page).
I also considered changing them to something like "Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Dragnet, I Dream of Jeannie, and Dynasty."

But can she prevent forest fires?

Heh - my TiVo keeps thinking I want to see I Dream of Jeannie. I think I've finally convinced it to stop, though. (I'm fairly certain this is because I'm fond of the 1960s Batman reruns, but c'mon! Those are funny! For the big Batpole and the little Robinpole alone, they're worth it.)

We disabled that feature after about the fifth fishing-and-hunting show. Not sure why it thought we'd like that sort of thing, when most of what we tape is SF, science documentaries, and old movies.
I always thought the Batpole and the Robinpole were the same size. (Oh, would Dr. Wertham love that line...)
