It's kinda weird to see so many of our slang terms being searched for. I think, like Buffyspeak, they too are bleeding out into the rest of the world. I love that.

buffy fuck

Straight and to the point.

But of all of them, this one has to be my favorite search string that lead to us...

I'm not sure how that search string could pull up anything but Buffistas...

(EtA: And yet, it only pulls up the FAQ...)

Love the (multiple) leatherpants searches!

But this one made me crack up:

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

natlbsb predates us -- it's general Tabletalk slang, at least. MOG, if memory serves, is TWOP.

We're big old gankers.

I'm with Steph -- that JM one is ... strange, and I hope they found what they were looking for. If not here, where?

I also found a website popularity index pointing to us. Well, to the original Firefly thread, in specific. During the Joss times. Found another cite (as an addendum to an article) saying that although Josh [sic] didn't have a site, he posted here.

The Internet is a strange and lovely thing.

Hokay. As for thread consolidation, we have this on the table (I made small Buffista Fic edits):

Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

and ...

Buffista Fic: It Could Be Plot Bunnies

Where the Buffistas let their creative fanfic juices flow. May contain erotica.

The existing slug for Bitchy Fic looks just fine -- what about a slug for Boxed Set?

Heh. Of course...

I frequently get this sort of "We have always been here," feeling, and I still haven't hit my one year anniversary. I keep forgetting the board itself came from other communities.

(And yet, I've known of the community since the end of Buffy S2, months before I even started watching. Emily talked to me about the show, and the peeps online that she also talked about the show with, which includes some of you here.)

The Internet is a strange and lovely thing.

It really, really is.

I don't want to know.

But I do want to vote for the Rio makeout thread. She is all wee and cute.

edit: I'm good with both descriptions as ita posted them. Anybody with a strong opinion on the matter?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I definitely don't have a strong opinion. They look fine to me.

I am accepting applications for the BS slug, though. C'mon witty wordsmiths, c'mon.
