I think it was the other way around. The reason some people mentioned for changing it was so as not to explicitly encourage thread drift because of the concern over the server connection problem.

I don't think it was a matter of encouraging (or not) thread drift, just not advertising what drift there already is. I can't Nilly the posts from Kristen and possibly Kat when this first started, but I know they were there, and the general (bullshit? maybe, I don't know) consensus was that the name should specify the three shows, and that's pretty much it. Why is this an issue that is causing such resistance?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I don't think that the et al is really going to make or break us, nor do I think it will foster nor infringe on the usual drift. I just think leaving it out makes it clear that the drift, while sometimes necessary, is not the intended purpose of the thread.

Count me among those disappointed in the Angel Spoilers Lite thread being closed. I don't usually vote because I'm not a super active Buffista so I didn't even know ASL was on the chopping block. I think it's a bummer to close a thread that deals with an active (as in uncancelled) ME series. I post in Music and Movies but it makes more sense to me to lose those rather than actual Buffista topics if space/bandwidth is an issue. I'm a sad panda.
