And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

(Also, that rumour is months old, and the likelihood of that being the title of 5.2 is slim to none.)

We created a short-cut for spoiler font, and it's pretty much the easiest thing in the world to white-font something.

We're not allowed to white font in NAFDA. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but it is against the policy.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I understand why some have an aversion to knowing episode titles, but writers?

Here's a hypothetical: Tim posts in the Angel thread that he's writing episode 7. Do we whitefont (or delete!) his post?

t edited because I can spell. really.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I always like to know the writer line-up. I don't see how this is spoilery, and I think that the argument that you'd know what the episode would be about, or even the tone by the writer, is weak.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Except CwDP. And Hush, in a promo that I remember. Which, therefore, are really the only episode titles we should *ever* be allowed to speak of.

Also, just for reference, OMWF.

And isn't Invisible Girl really called Out of Sight, Out of Mind (or vice-versa on Sight/Mind)?

There's no prohibition against mentioning the writers in the FAQ, only episode titles. It's not a spoiler, and mentioning the writers is not a broadening of current spoiler policy.

Yeah, I don't get the writer being spoilery connection either. Soon the fact that a writer is coming on board or leaving will be spoilery, and what's next...news about Bob the head make-up artist's contract dispute becomes relegated to whitefont?

All is well that ends in pizza.

And isn't Invisible Girl really called Out of Sight, Out of Mind (or vice-versa on Sight/Mind)?

Out of Mind, Out of Sight, yes. Except the WB or FoxTV decided on the more pedantic and spoilery Invisible Girl. The name is restored for the DVD and FX and Syndication.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

You can. I honestly can't

Sorry. Sloppy use of "you" on my part.

and am curious if you can see it with hindsight, or you could tell this going in.

No, I saw it going in - like I said, that's why I like reading the titles ahead of time, it lets me play a little bit with predictions and just a slight flavor of being-spoiled without actually knowing anything. Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong. I was completely wrong on Orpheus, for instance, which I'd guessed would be about getting Good Cordelia back. (Except hopefully not too good.) On the other hand, I was right about the facts that Angelus wasn't going to go all the way to the end of the season and that the Angelus mini-arc would be done by the time we saw "Players."

Of course, to be fair I knew approximately how long Faith was going to be around for, and you can make guesses from that (the chance that Faith was going to leave LA with Angelus still running around was greater than zero but not very high).
