I'm one of those people who can't remember episode titles. The only reasons I even know certain Buffy episode names is y'all keep mentioning and even then I'm not always sure if what I'm remembering goes with the title I'm thinking about.
For me they are just "the one with the gambling---for Gunn's soul. Not the rescue Lorne vegas one." or "the one where Kennedy is annoying..."
Angel 5.2 is rumored to be entitled
either "Spiked" or "Just Rewards"
IJS, if it's the former? Semi-spoilery to some, not to others.
I understand why people are saying the ep titles aren't really spoilery. But what's the point of being able to discuss future episode titles in the main thread at all? Is it to try and determine what will happen in that show? In that case I would say the title is spoilery since it's being used as a clue to the future episode's contents and it's never been broadcast. OTOH, when they broadcast the episode title Apocalpse Nowish/Rain of Fire in the promos, that was fair game.
I don't think we don't care, Katie. It's just that, speaking only for myself, I don't see the same vibe-change that you see.
You can see where the vibe of the titles changes, and guess from that where the Angelus mini-arc's going to end.
You can. I honestly can't, and am curious if you can see it with hindsight, or you could tell this going in.
"the one where Kennedy is annoying..."
Sorry, that's about half the 7th season.
Daniel, what does even the former title tell people who already know the show's casting changes?
Really? I thought that was a relatively recent development -- a cautiousness that became ingrained.
Late to the discussion, but I fully agree with ita here.

It won't be spoilery to anyone who's seen (1) the opening credits of the first episode or (2) the promo.

That seemed to be a common point people mentioned in the discussion about the casting spoiler amendment -- that we've drifted way over to the side of overly cautious.
I'm only half joking when I say I think there are people who still consider it a spoiler that we talked about Buffy not coming back for an 8th season.
