You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

We could switch it all up:

The Minearverse: Jar Jar is His Bitch in the Slaughterhouse of Love, Fuffybunnies

Yep. Coffee hasn't hit the bloodstream.

Visilurking

How 'bout lining up all the Minear suggestions and letting Elena deathmatch 'em? They're sure a lot more fun than just bullshit consensing.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Tim Minear: Joss Was Just a Gateway Drug

I know I already voted for this, but I'd like to propose changing it to:

The Minearverse: Joss Was Just a Gateway Drug

...since the thread is going to be devoted to the works of Tim Minear, not the man himself.

Oh, good call, Jess!

This.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I like

"Minear Death Experience" which says it all, really.

Any chance Tim himself might weigh in on the thread name.

Also, I wanted to suggest that someone email Joss with a link to or a copy of Nilly's posts about Firefly.

Oh just a question about voting. Back in horrible hostrocket days, we used to get two confirmations for a vote. An automated one as soon as we voted, and a second (I guess also automated) from the vote counter. Is that still the system? Because I only got the one confirmation - the automated one that is generated as soon as you vote.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

(I guess also automated)

Nope, not automated, and I don't think all vote counters did it.

If previous vote counters were sending out confirmations, I didn't know about it. I had 99 votes when I left the house this morning.

Don't think it is really neccesary - especially if it is not automated. I just wanted to make sure not receiving did not mean there was something wrong. Now that it is confirmed that it is not a symptom of a problem, I'm fine with not receiving a second confirmation.
