Sean, you're now attacking Trudy. Please stop.

So this is all about you, huh?
Sean, you started the "I'm getting sick" language.
I'm sorry, Allyson. You're right, I shouldn't be attacking her, but I also think it's time somebody stood up and told her to tone it down.
I lashed out in my last post, but the way she's treated me and many others in the last four days, I'm not feeling all that bad about it just at the moment.
Sean, you started the "I'm getting sick" language.
You know "he started it" really doesn't fly after you're out of elementary school. Can the two of you redirect your discussion to Lightbulb, and refrain from personal comments? That shouldn't be too complicated.
About Jim - (whom I certain has run off to a well-appointed desert island retreat and is laughing thanks to his wireless internet connection...)
It seems to me, when DX proposed something and people didn't like it, we decided if DX wanted to drop it, the proposal was up for grabs if anyone wanted to continue it through to a vote. In that case, we didn't.
I think we should give Jim a day or two and it would probably be good if someone pinged him to ask if he'll be able to carry it through to completion. I don't know how familiar he is with the procedure.
As to what date? Someone upthread suggested July 1st. I was thinking July 4th, just because I'm a geek and liked the Independence Day (sorry Canadians and UnAms) tie in.
I would prefer the amended version go to vote. I think that Jim would probably be okay with that as well. Let's give him a chance to come back and peruse it. I think we can stretch a little to accomodate that. It's only if he were gone for an extended absence that I think we'd need to go forward with the original wording.
This is my opinion, too. But I would note, Plei had said she was going to propose it, and when she couldn't come back, Jim did propose it. I don't want to volunteer Plei, but am just thinking if we are unable to get in touch with Jim and too much time goes by, Plei might seem a more acceptable substitute to Jim, for Jim. Does that make sense?

I didn't want to make this suggestion either, but I would agree.
I'm good with either four weeks or July 1. Four weeks might be better, in case we had some wacky scheduling thing where a show's hiatus did not correspond with the summer.
Jim proposed it *before I woke up*, curse his timezone superiority, anyhow.
It could be "July X*, or 4 weeks, whichever is longer." That way, if we don't get a finale 'til June 28, because some trenchcoat mafia takes out their local Pylean demon Karaoke bar, the more virginal posters can still be around for the weeks of the finale post-mortem.
*Doesn't anyone else like July 4? <sniff>

Cindy, what would you do if we had a finale in February or March? It's rare, but I know that can happen if a show premieres early or has a short season.
