I'm not sure I'd ever use it ... I feel the need to be aware. but I can see why someone would want it.
'Not Fade Away'
Bureaucracy 2: Like Sartre, Only Longer
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.
Current Stompy Feet: ita, Jon B, DXMachina, P.M. Marcontell, Liese S., amych
I don't think I would use it either, but will go along with what the majority wants.
We should have this discussion in BaBB, but -- I understood that one of the holdups with MARCIE was that we couldn't set up the right sort of dev environment over at HR. That should no longer be a problem, no?
I'll go along, as if it's there I don't have to use it. But I've got a pretty thick skin, and I'd rather see what's being said. Knowledge is Power, doncha know.
But, since your B.org experience may vary, I've got no issues with the board implementing such a thing.
Overturn "All Buffistas Are Foamy"?
What does that mean?
I was wondering the same thing. Is "All Buffistas Are Foamy" now an official policy?

It's more a guideline, really...

Folks - We already decided that MARCIE should be done and it was given a fairly high priority on the to-do list. IIRC, Paul (the Spanish guy) did a lot of the basic coding and it is now on ita's desk.
(which is not to pressure ita in any way; just wanted to let folks know where we are).
(and I've been using the word "folks" way too often lately)
Well, you could use Ffolks, but then you'd be evoking memories of Roger Moore as a misogynist cat fancier/mercenary.

Whoa - talk about the obscure movie reference. The bad part is, I saw this movie (on TV, thank god - didn't pay for it). Wasn't Anthony Perkins the bad guy (doing yet another Norman Bates retread, sort of)?
Perkins was indeed the bad guy, but he was doing his interpretation of the deranged Evil Mastermind.
