A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Thanks DX. I won't even get the book until next week and wanted to know if I need to avoid any threads.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

I was under the impression that we were allowed free discussion of the books in the "Dude" thread, but anything about the next movie was right out. I do know that some people have been white-fonting major plot points as a courtesy. I know that I have done so in past discussions about "I wonder how they are going to do XXX scene in the movie?".

I'm all for free, non-whitefont discussion of the literary works, but since Tokien's works are a major part of my personal canon, I might be biased.

Saying that, though, I'd hate to have people miss out on the conversations that will take place when the DVD's get released. So that makes me wishy-washy. I'll have to think some more about this dilemna.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That was the consensus, Jeff:

Anyway, so, talking about the books is okay, comments on the film, by thems that are spoiled, not so much.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Not sure whether this belongs here or in BBaB, but I've just sent the 2003 Foamies nomination form to admin@buffistas.org, to be put up somewhere here at the leisure of the Stompies.

There isn't any such mailbox -- admins is the Stompy one. I don't think fangeek bounces, though.

Jess - I grabbed the files and am testing them. Upon submission, the form calls the action "submit.php", but there's no such file. Did you mean to send that file as well, or should the action be something else?

"When the world's run by fools it's the duty of intelligence to disobey." Martin Firrell

Not sure if this is the place to post this, but ...

To the admins, I was writing an email to someone and my computer glitched in the middle of typing and the 'sent confirmation' message appeared, and it said it had been sent to the buffista admins. WTF?

Anyway it was a complete glitch not at all intentional so please ignore it and continue to regard me as a 'techie illiterati'.

PS. the sender would be chris3550.
