Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Heya,

We got a letter from My Friend's Place thanking us for the donation we made from the sale of raffle tix at F2F:

Dear Allyson,

Thank you for your generous gift of $110.00 in honor of Mr. Tim Minear from his fans at Buffistas.org on 6/12/2003. Your contribution to My Friend's Place is greatly appreciated.

Your gift makes it possible for My Friend's Place to continue its mission: to inspire and assist the homeless and high risk youth of Los Angeles to build self-sufficient lives.

Through your generosity My Friend's Place wil provide meals, clothes, and the opportunity to see a doctor or other health care professional, and guidance to homeless young people in Los Angeles.

On behalf of us at My Friend's Place, thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

David Brinkman

Executive Director

My question is, since this letter is a tax deductible receipt (and I have one from First Book and another from Heifer.org), should these go to Jesse or ita?

Can this help in any way with board operating costs? Probably not, but in any case, should we have a person in charge of actual paper records such as this?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd send them to the money lady, Jesse.

Jesse, you up for keeping the records of charitable donations? If so, send me your addie, and I'll make a copy for me in case the IRS starts questioning me and all of my glorious charity work.

Disaffected college student

Allyson: My Friend's Place is the actual name of the organization, right? Because my mind keeps processing it as a protecting-the-innocent, not-her-real-name placeholder thing.

It's the actual name, Robert. www.myfriendsplace.org

It is designed to take the stigma out of homelessness. When one is applying for a job, or talking to other random people, they can say, "I'm staying at my friend's place." And that's easier than saying, "I'm staying at the shelter."

t forehead slap! I knew that was the actual name, but I didn't realize why. What a clever idea!

Anyone know if WX is ever coming back? DOwn for 2 weeks now, this blows.

I miss TT TV- The Drool topic (a highlight of last summer for me), Ovies and Elvis and Lauri and Lev and HPG and Orcaman, etc.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They have a fallout shelter where the status is discussed, but it's full of noise, and there are no actual answers to why it's been down for weeks. Or when it's coming up, or where the $11K went.
