Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

That's a relief to hear.

Seriously. I don't feel I do enough, participate enough, do the influence for good enough. In real life, I do a lot of nodding and back-patting, not a lot of talking. It can be difficult to remember that online, no one can see you nod.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Allyson has summed it up for me. And damned eloquently, I might add.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

When I counted votes, I would guess there were 4 or 5 names I didn't know, though I could go back and check that.

Yeah, me too. I was impressed with how many people I did have a real sense of.

In real life, I do a lot of nodding and back-patting, not a lot of talking. It can be difficult to remember that online, no one can see you nod.

I actually think you can, kind of. I mean, when you post, Beverly, it's clear that you've been paying attention to other people, and care about the community. When people meara, even if they're just saying "Uh huh," or "YAY" or whatever, it's a clear demonstration that they are paying attention. Not that people who don't do that aren't paying attention, but you know what I mean?

I don't think I'm saying what I'm trying to say.

Jesse, l know what you mean, and I also think it's clear.

Oh geez, guys. Damned allergies.

Really. Thanks.

But you know I wouldn't be here if the Phoenix and the Buffistas were not da Bomb, right?

I'm sure there are other online communities that are -- what? Quirky? Intelligent? Funny? Erudite? Articulate? Hmmmm, heading into maybe-not land there. But we're all that and a wrodload of chips.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

As long as the people who click "recent" know I'm not trying to bust on them.

As long as the people who click "recent" know I'm not trying to bust on them.

Like they'd care, with your unholy devotion to the number 50.

It should be a reflection of my true devotion to this community that I accept 42 as The Will of The People, if an imperfect number.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

Does it reflect badly on my sci-fi knowledge that I only just realised that We The Buffistas picked the answer to life, the universe, and everything as our One True Number?

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

FWIW, I have a deep and abiding respect and appreciation for Beverly, and recently realized that I don't think I've ever told her that. Now seems like a good time.
