I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think that Tim isn't just a Buffista, but our patron saint, as well.

See, I'm all for canonizing him as St. Tim of the Scythe too. I'd be fine with a Tim-dedicated thread that follows any of his work as long as he's bothering to put out product. It's just...even Mickey Mantle had to be voted into the Hall of Fame. Even the President has to turn in his taxes.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Is now the time to second? Cuz, if it is, I second.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Seconding or thirding or whatev.

Wondering if these stick-to-procedure types have heard of lifetime achievement awards :P <-- Please to be noting the dratted emoticon. These words are meant tongue in cheek.

Thanks for all the fish.

I'll second as well.

What good are rules and procedures if we don't bother to follow them? How can we know if they work if we don't try?

I'm against the idea at this time for reasons I will discuss during the discussion period.

I second the motion, bringing us to four. There we go.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I thought you were abstaining from discussion, Sean.

Thanks Deena.

Then, by all means, we have a suggestion of 'Minearvana," so..any others?

um.. Allyson is proposing that Tim gets a thread.
The thread name isn't necessary yet, is it?

Do we still need seconders?

Edited, because name is not the same as title. See what happens when I post and talk on the phone at the same time?

Edited again because.. I guess if the name isn't specified in the vote, and it's not considered "maintenance" then maybe it is needed. But then, since it's Allyson's proposal, it'll be her thread to name.

Also, is thread the right word? Sartre is a thread. What is the collective noun for bureaucracy threads? (I'm gonna get a lot of sarcastic answers to that, aren't I? :) And is it one Phoenix board, or many Buffista boards? I'm thinking about this too hard, aren't I?

Welcome, Julie.

I'd guess, thread name would be something we'd come to by consensus assuming it passes? Like other thread names? Though I'd have no objection to it being included in the ballot -- unless the name turns someone off and they vote no because they don't like the name and not because they don't like the idea.

IOW, I have no idea.

Do we still need seconders?

Nope.

Seconds - Deena, Plei, Elena, Me. That's the four needed. I'm sure there's plenty others who would do so, but we have what we need.

Disaffected college student

I may have missed it, but I don't think anyone in the past few days has mentioned fiddling with the Angel threads due to its possible cancellation. Bless your collective optimism.
