Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It shouldn't be a global discussion.

Interesting. Why shouldn't it be a global discussion?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

sumi, spoilery.

Why shouldn't it be a global discussion?

There wasn't a global discussion about setting it up to set it up. We asked for it to be created at TT, it followed us to WX and was created here for continuity. Our thread is low traffic but important to us so we should have the right of self-determination to decide its fate, just like the posters to the Bitches thread.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Atlantic Canadian here. I think the only people I would discuss closing our thread with are other Atlantic Canadian posters and admin people. It shouldn't be a global discussion.

While I'm opposed to closing it (separate culture, not really a show thread per se, lots of history), I don't think any subcommunity discussion should exclude the community at large. Period.

That goes for Bitches as well, or PPO.

But the same goes for all the threads that migrated here from anywhere. PPO, Smallville, Spoilage, etc.

Again, I think that removing ACMM is out of the question, but I disagree with the notion of individual threads being removed from the community decision making process.

That's fair enough. I figured Monday Madness would be needed for Angel, if it continues next season. I always considered it a "spoiler" thread for those who had seen the show the day before to be able to watch and post. Has it evolved into a subcommunity within Buffistas like Bitches?

Oh, yeah. It's totally a subcommunity for our wacky Atlantic Canadians.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

What PMM said. And honestly, I'm rather taken aback by the hostility of the responses. It's hardly like we have a history of closing down threads against the posters' wills.

And as such, I would not expect to be a participant in their demise. Who am I to say that the Due South thread, of which I never post in, nor do I understand its purpose, should exist here or not?
