Burrell, read the recent posts in Lightbulb. This one is not getting voted in, and recently there's discussion about whether the proposer can truncate the procedure if he so chooses and what effect that would have on the issue.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I take it you haven't been over to the discussion thread. There seems very little chance of that.

No, you're right. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I won't be able to read it until tomorrow probably. This is one issue I won't be joining in on.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Am I the only one who is surprise to see so many of the Official Seconds coming from people who claim to be against the proposal?

Not at all. If something came up that I wanted off the table, seconding it is a good way to get it closer to a moratorium.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Burrell, not to worry. I'm getting shellacked in there. It would've been a blessing not to have gotten the seconds.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, and also, I'd rather see the processing in the Light Bulb thread than in here.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

And see if I didn't want a proposal to pass or be discussed I wouldn't comment on it at all. I would hope it would just die.

msbelle is like me. I'm glad to see that ita, DX, & Jesse & others have more faith in the process than I do. Especially right now, when I am being lax in my Buffista civic mindedness.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Hello, Bureau-thinkers. I am in search of a commune to consense with me. We will chant OM and all agree on the following consensuary procedure-details. Which are not tort related in any way:

(1) I think it's a great idea that the proposer of a proposal be allowed to withdraw it before the voting period begins, for any reason and without censure or tongue-waggling. (Unless the proposer prefers we waggle our tongues at him.) If the proposer, I don't know, breaks a leg and gets stuck in a hospital with no internet access, or even just changes his mind, there should be the option for the proposer to hand-off advocacy duties to someone else (and stick to the original time-frame).

(2) Said proposal, never having been voted down, should not fall under the moratorium for voted-down things.

Please let us consense about them, because then I will be happy and able to put them into my little Buffista Law document.

That is all. Off to find cake to satisfy sudden craving.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Works for me, Nutty.
