Julie. You mathed. You tabled. You okay?

Call me nuts, but isn't there just a chance that the amount of discussion between episodes is at least partially dependent on the length of time between new episodes?

Peanut! Shoot, that's a legume. I always make that mistake. Blame Elena. She bogarted all the good nuts. But yes, Julie mentioned the same thing in her table post and in the following as well:

. I think that the time between episodes is a bigger factor than the quality of the episode.

There was a month between Storyteller and Lies My Parents Told Me. That was the only period that generated 3000.

So, between the current Buffy thread and the upcoming one we have just under 12000 posts. Do we think that the last 4 eps will fit in there?

Yes I do. But... Well, I kind of like Taking a Moment and We're Done, and using Grr Arrrgh as a coda, like Julie suggested. Of course she only suggested And We're Done and she called Grr Arrrgh an exclamation point, but I already typed what I typed and didn't go back to check until after, and well, you know what I mean.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

IIRC, we picked 10,000 as a convenient point for threadbreaking, since we can't go on with one thread forever and anyway we're addicted to naming. But it's not like the way it works at WX, where the thread cuts off automatically whether we want it to or not.

Why not do "Taking a moment..." until the last ep airs across the US, even if it goes over 10,000 posts, and then start "Grr Arrrgh" as soon as it's over?

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

But, but, but that means not all the treads will be the same size when they are archived! Can this be allowed? :-)

Actually, that sounds like a good idea. Also, I think the thread should be "Taking a moment", with the "Grr, Arrgh" saved for after the end of the series.

ION, I now support "Big Damn Evil, Sir" for the Angel thread.

Up with the sun

We have 2,500 posts left, which is almost 2 episodes by Julie's table. So probably the finale will be in the next thread.

3000 posts/ep seems really optimistic to me -- that's over 400/day, which I think is a lot even for Natter.

And I like "She saved the World a Lot" better than "Taking a moment" for Buffy 4, especially since we used the Oz line for a Natter thread on WX.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I think ita recently automated the 10,000 post cutoff but I could be wrong.

"Taking a moment"

but.. but.. butt :) I don't like the set up, I like the bang.

"... and we're done"

But I also like "grrr argh"

(which is, as Cindy said, a lovely coda. Such a grown up expression for my own poor twisted "exclamation" explanation!)

(I stole it from Joss, because that's what he called Restless. I'm no more growed up than ever. t /natter )

I'd rather see "She saved the world. A lot." For after Grr Arrrgh, after it's dead and buried, so to speak.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Putting in a vote for Grr Arrgh! It's the One True Thread Title.
