Jayne (Husband): Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature. Mal (Wife): How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people? Jayne (Husband): If I could make you purtier, I would. Mal (Wife): You are not the man I met a year ago.

Friday morning we fly down to LA for our weekend getaway.

Fun!

But today the only Action Item on my agenda is contacting my CPA.

Not as fun.

Eleanor, is back from her honeymoon in Bali

Back to fun!

I have an orthodontist consultation today (I failed at Invisalign). Then I have dinner tonight w/ three of my favorite people -- we all used to work together at a law firm when we were babies, and we've stayed in touch and celebrated each other's birthdays with dinners and such.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

We are dealing with ten kinds of bureaucracy simultaneously, and I'm exhausted. Still dragging from the crazy day Monday.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Boo on bureaucracy.

erin, I lol’ed.

Set up an oscillating fan with streamers. Or a mini air dancer!

So festive!! Those things always remind me of the Better Off Ted episode where they hire white people to follow around Black people because the motion sensors can’t “see” them.

I am recovering from food poisoning, as those in you on fb know. I finally dragged my sorry ass to Urgent Care and got ABs and Zofran.

I am daring some mashed potatoes right now and resisting the urge to eat the whole half pound until I see how they land. I basically haven’t had any protein since Sunday night and I’m still rehydrating. My cheekbones are a little on the Spike side.

Not a single box is packed. I panicked yesterday and today I am resigned. I will throw money at the problem. It’s fine. I’ve got back tax refunds coming to repay what I’m taking from retirement to make this move happen. I can do this. It just sucks.

See, this city is literally trying to kill me!! Did I eat two cooked oysters in June? Yes. But the charge stands.

Mashed taties: I have reached the age where I get legit excited about a new pill case. I like the round ones.

Ooo. Immediately saved to wishlist.

It’s a good thing that I only ate a bit of the mashed potatoes. They haven’t been rejected outright but there’s a lot of grumbling happening. I went all out and added a couple spoons of unsweetened applesauce on top.

Uuuuuuugh. Had an appointment Sunday to get phone battery replaced. They told me to wait and come back when they had a replacement phone just in case. Ok fine. Drove here tonight through like 45 minutes of traffic (no idea why) and they say. Ok cool we can have it for you by 10am tomorrow. Maybe 8pm when we close tonight, you can check in then. So do I (a) drive home (possibly through shitty traffic) and drive back tomorrow after work and be without my phone all day or (b) wait around at this mall for an hour and a half and possibly get my phone (or possibly not)??? If I stay I might get my phone and will probably do the same as I would at home (read on this iPad, eat dinner). But might stay for nothing. Aaaaargh.
