Yeah, dramatic amd dentist are not descriptors I want to have in the same scenario. May your cleaning be brief and uneventful.

Used the water-pik beforehand--that helps a bit.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Compadres in dentistry today, erika! I'm off as soon as I exchange indoor pants for outdoor ones, and do sometshing with my hair. I love my dentist tech. She (imaginarily) pats my head and tells me "good girl" about flossing and so on and gives me the toothbrushes I like and the little fishline loops for cleaning under my bridge, and toothpaste I don't use. DH does though, so he gets the toothpaste. I get a scenic drive after, and since it's sunny today, that will be nice.

Our furnace has come on this week, and it's been welcome. It's fall, finally, and I'm glad to see the back of summer. It's usually also the back of fire season. Of course we have the tsunami warning sirens check tomorrow--it's always something. So far no volcano warnings, though. Crossing rain of fire off the list, at least for now.

Yes I had to turn on my heat when I got home after this weekend. Otherwise it was way too cold in here.

Dental both as good as expected and ran into a Dem organizer that has the same dentist. Sent her a link for virtual #NoKings--smallest morsel of fate ever. Brought Victor's book with me, so you were there in spirit, too.

Thrive to spite them

I pulled out the Buffista cookbook la while back for some reason and it's still on the kitchen (my cookbooks are on the bookshelves normally). So I see it there and think of everyone (everyone meaning every Buffista ever).

Yay for good dental results!

I finally went and got my blood drawn yesterday for my mystery bruising. The doctor didn't add a note but I sent him one. It was a CBC blood test and all the results were in the normal range but when I looked at the trends from the last few there is definitely something going on. Some of the results, like platelets are at the very bottom of the normal range and have steadily gone down since last April.

I sent the Dr a message that basically went ..so I looked at my test results and while they were in the normal range some of them were barely in range and the history shows changes, some that look kind of drastic , from the last blood tests. Do you have any idea what is going on ?

Especially because liver disease keeps coming up as a possibile reason with the test results. I keep telling myself to stop Googling all of this and wait for the doctor to respond but it's hard not to worry

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Where do you generally get the puff bars, Plei? I’ve only tried from Costco.

The various Town & Country Markets usually have a few flavors. I'm trying to remember where I found the salted caramel ones, and it honestly might have been up at the Edmonds WinCo when we did our occasional run up there to stock up on peanut butter.

Thrive to spite them

My Walmart sells the Puff bars. So if anyone wants to venture to a Walmart. Or stay away Walmart is partnering with Chatgpt so people can order things directly from chat gpt.

The Puff bars have sorbitol in them and that can cause GI problems for some people. It has for me.

But if it doesn't the Barebell bars are really good . I had one and it tasted good and had the texture of a candy bar. Although the one I had was very light . Not quite a marshmallow texture.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

The Puff bars have sorbitol in them and that can cause GI problems for some people. It has for me.

I double checked the coconut and brownie batter Puff bars (those are the ones we have in the kitchen right now), and they only have sugar. I always check for sorbitol (and other sugar alcohols) and artificial sweeteners, because they don't agree with my gastrointestinal system. There are a lot of Puff bar flavors, though, so maybe some others have sorbitol. Or maybe they've changed their ingredients to get rid of it?

But if it doesn't the Barebell bars are really good

The Barebell bars have maltitol in them -- is that easier on your GI system than sorbitol? They also have sucralose, which tastes horrible to me.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Facebook keeps popping up these savory protein bars and I am intrigued. [link]
