One of the great challenges of adulthood! I'm think I'm going to make one of my goals for 2026 to actually invite this one woman at church who shares a lot of my geeky interests and lives less than a mile away over for dinner instead of just making "we should have y'all over one of these days" noises from time to time.
As for job searches, Dylan has now been looking for 11 months and has applied to at least 150 places. He has a second interview on Friday, so if anyone has spare job~ma to throw his way I'd be appreciative.
Add me to the ranks of the Not-Wronged-By-Nilly. And to those who appreciate the yearly Yom Kippur post. It's both informative and encouraging of personal introspection, so thanks for not offending me in any way and for providing this yearly insight.

Life only allows me so much time to do all my daily games, so I always do 10 words and move on. They need to have an archive for Pips! I want to go back to the beginning when I wasn't doing them.
Also, on yesterday's Spelling Bee, I took longer than usual, so I looked today to see what other words were on the list. For all the words they disallow, yesterday had fanfic and antifa.
In awesome news today, I stopped by the farm market and they had beautiful bi-color corn and absolutely gorgeous tomatoes. Also lots of pumpkins and mums, but I wasn't in the market for those.
Omg are you kidding Laura?? I put in “fanfiction” yesterday and it said no, so I assumed “fanfic” wouldn’t be allowed! Bananas.
They keep taking games away from me. I have a frikkin' NYT subscription from my office, I'm not paying for my own just to pay fifty cents more to get games.
