Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Excellent progress, Tep!

I kinda wish Tim weren't such a lean, rangy dude. He could use a some love handles right about now.

But I know you'll keep him calorically topped off.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I kinda wish Tim weren't such a lean, rangy dude. He could use a some love handles right about now.

He's pretty firmly in normal BMI territory, but like the low end of normal. He doesn't have a whole lot of wiggle room where he can lose some weight and be okay. I wish I could give him what I'm losing.

But I know you'll keep him calorically topped off.

Gonna put cheese and butter in everything. Lots of smoothies with protein powder. And Boost really does make a formulation called Boost Very High Calorie, so that'll be the fallback.

My eyes just popped out of my head in cartoon character fashion. Caliente!

Thrive to spite them

Plei I'm sorry about your mom

I hope Tim's chemo goes smoothly.

And boo to dental emergencies.

I have created a special hell for myself this month. Tonight we are driving up to Mom's so I can go to my 8 am deep cleaning dental appointment. Then next Mon I have off so we will go up there again.

Then I had my PT assessment and I am going to get PT to strengthen my neck and back muscles to help with the damage in my neck causing the pins and needles . And it will be Tues and Thursday but with my work schedule that means on Thursdays I'll have PT at 7 am before work.

I am not a morning person. I am not looking forward to all of this getting up early .

Ugh, 7 AM is early for PT. When I was working I had to go to the gym at 6 AM so I could be done and back to my desk by 8. I got used to it and found it a good way to start off the day. I hope it works well for you.

Lots of ~ma headed to Tim for effective and rapid healing.

Taking Skinner to the vet today. I think he might have eyesight issues. He really doesn't want to go up or down the inside stairs. I don't think it is his hips because he bounds through the forest like a deer. I put his harness on to go down the stairs next to him, giving him support, and that worked better. I took a video of his failed attempt to do it on his own. We redid the stairs a couple of years ago to make them easier for us, with steps being 12" deep and an 8" rise. Skinner didn't have any issues in previous years before or after the change. It could be eyesight or depth perception issues, joint issues, or just anxiety after a previous fall. Who knows. Hopefully, the vet will have answers.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I am at the courthouse waiting to see if I get called for grand jury. I’ve already been told I am a “good candidate”.

It’s not an every day for a month thing anymore, which is good at least. Instead it’s about 17 days over nine weeks, an only a couple of which I have hard conflicts for. I won’t say I’m looking forward to that, but at this moment, in this city, I couldn’t justify trying to shade my answers at all.

When the SA asked how I would feel if I got picked I said “I believe in the importance of the jury system” which I could kind of startled her ;-). But my answers that I will get paid and have reliable transportation probably weight just as heavily.

I mean, honestly, I'd pick you, so... yeah. I am actually curious about what it's like serving on a grand jury. In any case, if you get picked, I hope it is minimally disruptive.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This may be a very important time to serve, brenda. Meep.
