Port is placed, everything went well, getting up at 4:30 is brutal, time for a nap.

Our nurses gave me this advice on prepping JZ's port before it needed to be accessed, and I always got compliments on my technique:

Don't rub the anesthetic cream in. Just put a generous dollop of cream on the site and then put the clear film bandage over it. No rubbing! Big dollop!
