I dunno, I kind of like Iron Fang. It's fierce!

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

retainer

Learn from my mistake.

When I was a teenager, I wore retainers (top and bottom) for twelve months. That summer, on the flight back to the U.S. for vacation, I took my retainers out to eat dinner, failed to put them back in afterwards, and fell asleep. When I woke up, my tray-table had been cleared, and the retainers were gone. I had to go back to the galley and search through all the trolleys of meal trays to find them.

But I did find them. Whew.

Oh, my lord! Glad you found them, but... not a fun task.

Ooh, like a komodo dragon! Or a beaver!

I know!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Up front: I’m fine, everything is ok. I went to the ER last night. I had sudden excruciating abdominal pain that caused muscle spasms that made it feel like my ribs were going to snap. Nothing showed up on a CT and X-ray, so they gave me a bunch of meds for acid and other stomach issues.

Because of all this, I learned that morphine doesn’t really do anything for me, and I am big mad about that.

Does that mean laudanum is no good?! The betrayal!

Always Anti-fascist!

I think I've had the junior version, Atropa, enough to make me feel like I shouldn't laugh at congresspeople who think gas is a heart attack.(It can feel like that.) glad they didn't find anything serious. the morphine/laudanum news isn't what I'd picture either, -T.

Punishingly Intricate

Oh gosh, Atrops, that’s terrifying! Opiates haven’t worked well for me either (fortunately have never *really* needed them; post surgery I’ve made do with NSAIDS).

Grr. My doggo is 5. He’s been very good for years about staying in the little yard I have. I have part of it blocked off with a little fence. He could totally jump over it or push it over if he wanted but he doesn’t, and normally doesn’t leave unless I’ve accidentally left it open. But twice now recently he’s somehow escaped! So now I have to figure out how and how to stop him!

(He was just out and then came back in…and a dude rang the doorbell a few minutes later because he’d seen Rory roaming around in the neighbors yard, unbeknownst to me! Then he came home, apparently, which is good, but free range in the big city is not good)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I’m glad things worked out in the end, Atropa. But I’m sorry you were in such pain. Morphine, you had one job!
