I was invited to a job interview at the company where I'd be working if hired. Everything seemed fine until the interviewer, someone high in the company hierarchy, was called away before finishing the interview and asked me to wait until he got back. While he was gone I started reading the diplomas and certificates on his wall, and to my horror every other one was awarded from the Grand Poobah, or the second rank Poohbah of the KKK. He didn't come back and after ten minutes I walked out. If hired, I wouldn't have worked there.

Well, Winston Salem, NC in the 90s. I'm not sure where they are right now. Our grandson is planning to move out here sometime this year. I was so glad to hear that--the town he's in is pretty much a dead end. Mostly extensive farms owned by the same white aristocracy since the Civil War. Also, I just found out my XDiL's family is high in the local and state hierarchy KKK. There is no future for him there.
