That sucks, ND, and sending "pay up, mf-ers" vibes to your clients
smonster, flirty packing sounds like an excellent plan

Flirty packing does sound good
Getting around the corner~ma, ND!
I'm making an instant pot dinner again, which is good, because I wanted to order, but restrained myself. And it's getting me back in the kitchen to make things.
I'm making shrimp scampi with pasta. Although, full disclosure: the shrimp scampi is from Trader Joe's, so all I do is bake it from frozen and then put it on spaghetti. Super tasty, though.
We had Italian takeout, because it was one of my 8 am to 7 pm days (my brain officially went offline, with audible sizzling and popping). I had pizza and also penne alla vodka. Noms.
Hi, JenP! ::tacklehugs JenP just because::
I forgot to say Fie! on your clients! to ND. Consider it said!
We went out for Italian because I have pretty much emptied my refrigerator and didn't want to thaw anything. He had pizza and I had lobster ravioli. Both had the Italian wedding soup, which was yum. Came home, got in jammies, poured a glass of wine.
Tomorrow, we have to do all the things.
What book would you force on random people if you could?
Murderbot!
That is a good call
The nice thing about that question is that there are no wrong answers!
Actually the Dunnett was my sister; mine was the Sutcliff. So very influential on my thinking and writing.
Dinner was most of the leftover veggies in the house (salad mix, avocado, and a lot of english cucumber) tossed with brown rice, cotija, and lemon vinaigrette. Pretty tasty, but now I need to go grocery shopping.
The new dog is remembering she's still a puppy and started chewing the carpet while I was in a staff meeting today, so that was fun. She is however charming and snuggly. She makes me happy, and I can't wait to start training her in agility. I think she's going to be great.
Happy new dog, 'suela! Friends just had to put their corgi to sleep--liver cancer. So it's lovely to hear about a healthy happy puppy who snuggles.
Sheryl, I do hope there's a solution that will be found soon. It's so stressful and difficult for you and your DH. My heart goes out to all of you.
ND, I hope the ones who need to pay pay up, and the ones who need to sign, sign. You deserve cooperative clients.
I'm going to step way the hell off the beaten path and give away Marge Piercy's Woman on the Edge of TIme. It was a watershed book for me. About a woman living in poverty with mental problems, who hallucinates a whole other world. I fell hard for the alternate reality, to the point that I often forget the main story. Dated, as most of Piercy's work is, but still relevant.
Oh, hello, 3 a.m. insomnia. I haven't missed you even a little bit.
