I love all those things. But the order sounds like when I eat candy after I brush. D'oh. Happy Tep day.

Many happy returns of the day, Tep. Glad the surgery went well, and I'm awfully glad you're here.
The Mets just signed left-handed pitcher Dicky Lovelady to their roster
That is for sure a baseball name if I've ever heard one!
I'm more than half convinced that there is a time traveling baseball player on an important mission from 1904.
I also celebrated your b'day with take-out sushi!
I have survived 24 years in Chicago without AC and the last two days have given me pause. I'm used to having a week or two of this in August. Not June. I may have to give in for the sake of my poor 20 yr old cat. I can't seem to convince her to lay on anything damp or cold.
I am endlessly jealous of people in California who can just walk outside and pick an avocado from their own magical avocado tree.
Growing up in Florida we had a magical mango tree in our backyard that produced incredibly flavorful fruit by the bushel. More than we could eat, really.
... I might have been a bit more excited about the appearnt ceasefire if it weren't for the non stop "get ready to get to shelter" emergency messages we were starting to get over an hour ago, at 5:11am local time (these are the pre siren notices).
I returned the cat back to the carrier twice by now and I think he'll might murder me if he gets a chance.

Unexpected source of casualty!
Where was I reading that series of short stories about a time traveling baseball player? Possibly a whole team. It was time travel, I’m almost sure. Definitely baseball.
Hang in there cats with unusually bad stuff happening in your environments. And humans.
Quick summary of this morning in Jerusalem as brought to us by Home Front Command emergency messages (tweet's in Hebrew but the picture is in English): [link]
In the midst of this heat wave my son hasn't had power for 2 days now and the estimated time for fixing isn't until midnight tonight, which seems to be a time that keeps getting pushed back. Big storms in his area have about 16,000 still in outage. At this point his food is gone. He of course ignored my suggestion that he take his food to my place up there, or at least box it up and put it in the walk-in coolers at the deli where she works. Too late now.
I have to go back to reading my news. At my sister's house and the broadcast news this morning is all Trump being pissed off because the parties won't do what he says.
Of course reading the news summarizes that there is another hidden site in Iran that hasn't been destroyed, stores of weapons materials in unknown locations, and the attacks can't stop until complete destruction and regime change happens.
My local news has our esteemed governor revamping the condo building regulations that were put in place after the big collapse a couple years ago, because they are costing the residents too much money. Your building, which was built with crap materials, is crumbling and is going to cost a fortune to fix, but Desantis has your back and will remove the safety regulations.
Also, Florida's solution to securing migrants is to build “Alligator Alcatraz”, tent cities in the Everglades because the threats from wildlife will keep them from escaping.
I know it is an old sentiment, but my need to stay informed is in direct conflict with my need for sanity.
