Happy birthday, Gud! I'm very grateful you're here.
Hey Jake! Really enjoyed meeting you and erin at the Memorial. You looked very dapper and turned out.
Glad to hear you're warming up to Spike. Though you're absolutely allowed to dislike any character at all - that's what leads to the discussions.
Speaking of Tilly...
Are we discussing Discovery anywhere? I have feelings.
Hi, Jake! Welcome. I was, sadly, not in SF, but I did see pictures, and I concur with David. On all points, actually.
Always fun to hear about someone watching Buffy for the first time! It's been a minute.
OK, folks, I am all routine-mammoed up, and I dropped Birdie off at the vet for some testing, AND I got some blood drawn. It's been a whirlwind of medical offices this morning. Now to eat some food and do some work.
Where do we talk about Trek? Boxed Set?
Hi Jake! It was a delight to meet you in SF. And yes, we have all had a variety of feels concerning Spike. Even naming a thread here Spike's Bitches. (it has a history too)
Medical~ma, JenP. Good girl doing all the healthcare things.
It has been Double Monday for work today, so despite my retired status I have been solving issues all day. Sigh.
I don't hate Spike. Heck, by the end of season 2, he was a stand-up guy.
First off, not a "guy," a literal demon in a suicide blonde Marsters wrapper. But some of us do love him for...reasons. The logical thing would have been for Buffy to come back to the Sunset Club at the end of _Lie to Me_ with a flame thrower (or, ya know, lots of weapons) to try and and take out the threat of Spike/Dru/their posse, but clearly the character was already too beloved at that point to take out.
Second, I see what you did with the "stand-up" reference and that groaner is almost as bad as Angelus' horrible wheelchair puns. ;P
